John's 1967 Chevelle of the Month - July 2025
I purchase the car in 1999 from a junkyard in Austin Texas. Me my Wife family and a Friend Dennis Perez did all the work in my home garage. We work on it for about two years until it was time for paint. I took the car to my friend Peter Perez and he started working on the car and it took him a year to get it perfect. I finally got it home to be reassemble. The First engine on the car was a 383 Stroker engine that I build With 11 to 1 pistons 40 over pistons, Edelbrock Victor Jr. CNC machine Heads, Edelbrock air gap intake and a Holley 770 Avenger and Super Comp Hooker headers 1 7/8 equal length tubes. I Build a Turbo 350 with a 3200 Stall converter and Posi 411 gears. The fist set of wheels on the car where American Racing Wheels 15x8.5 S2000 or some people call them Coke Bottle.
After a wild I started going to Car shows and I like it, including 2 Super Chevy Shows and 2 Autoramas. That's when I really started doing more changes to the car adding more chrom e to the engine and to the outside of the car.I started winning lots of trophies . So far the Car been doing really good winning several Best Of Show and Best Engine and more. In the last 3 years I have done a few changes including LS-3 Swap. Transmission swap from automatic 4L60E to Tremec TKO 600 5 speed, Wilwood Brakes and US Mags 17x8.5 Front and 18x 9.5 rear and Nitto 555.

I think what it is special about this car is that is a 1967 Chevelle Sedan 300 Deluxe, or post car like some people call it. They only
build about 4500 of this model 1967 in comparison of the 1967 Chevelle SS and regular Chevelle that they build like 400 thousand
of them. I think this cars going to bring good money in the future.
Future plans are Air Ride System, Custom Ghost Flames paint and
Maybe a Procharger or Magnuson Supercharger Kit.
