Chris's 1970 Chevelle of the Month - April 2014
Car is a 1970 Malibu, 350, Powerglide, bought new by my grandpa. It was green on green with a black vinyl top. He gave it to my aunts to drive in school, then later my uncle. He wanted a Skylark and my dad had one so they swapped. My mom drove the Chevelle until a house sitter wrecked it. My dad decided he would do a custom resto going to the red and gave the car to me at age 6. I changed wheels when I was 16. At 18 repainted it and added ghost flames...and changed wheels again. In 2006 I put in a ZZ4, 700R4, rebuilt the front end and did Baer brakes while again changing wheels. It's a constant project and a member of the family.
