Here is a close up of the newly rebuilt carburetor. This is the original carb, I sent it off to Holley for a complete rebuild. It cost a bundle but they did an outstanding job. Part of the service is to recolor it. It really does look like new.

I had the air cleaner lid rechromed and it looks great, no more dents or scratches!
I get a lot of requests for pictures of the air cleaner base so this should satisfy a lot of you. This is a shot of the top of the base while still on the carb. The flame arrestor screen is the original!
This is the underside of the base. You can clearly see the crankcase breather tube connection (the large tube) and the choke tube clean air connector (small nipple) from this angle.
And here are couple of close up photos of the engine in place with the air cleaner off so you can see the carb connetions, the wiring and that unique coil bracket.
