With the planned car show season done, I decided to sign up for one last show on the year. I again traveled to the show with my new Chevelle buddies. I completely failed to take any photos of my own car because it was raining so much, here is a picture of my new buddy Fred's car. You can see Fred cleaning the convertible top of his car.
All show and no go is not what my car is all about (see my drag racing page) and somewhere in between is cruising. While I didn't want to drive the car too much this past summer so I could more easily keep it in show shape, after the big Tinley Park show we did take it cruising a bit. Bob had heard about a great cruise night that takes place at a local Sonic Drive-In so we went and checked it out. It is a great cruise with 150+ cars in attendance! We cruised this spot again a couple times during the summer. Here is a picture with my car next to Bob's at the drive-in.
This was kind of a spur of the moment loosely organized show with some friends. My car didn't even get off the trailer since I had to get into the shop for some touch ups that night so I could have it ready in time for the Tinley Park show. The first picture is of Bob's '70. We had about a dozen Chevelle show up that night.
Here is one parting shot of the car at the shop that made the body look so gorgeous. It is Auto Kraft of Lincoln, NE. These guys are pure artists!
