Notice - February 12, 2012

I have developed a new website for registration for SS396 Chevelles. The new website (http://macswebs.com/ss396registry) will have 1966-1968 SS396 Chevelles and 1969-1970 SS396-optioned Chevelles only. All 1966-1970 SS396 Chevelles currently registered here will be duplicated on the new site but no longer updated or maintained here. The Super Sport Registry website will still be available for registration but only for 1964-1965 Malibu SS Chevelles, Canadian-built 1966-1967 Malibu SS as well as 1971-1972 SS-optioned Chevelles with the 350 engines.

All 1966-1970 SS396 Chevelles with the L78 option are still welcomed at l78registry.macswebs.com as a separate website and won't be duplicated at the new SS396 Registry website. Naturally, the LS3, LS5 and LS6 registries are still going to be available for 1970-1972 Chevelles with those engines.

* Mission Statement - Maintain a repository of Chevelle/El Camino Malibu SS and Super Sport-optioned Chevelles from 1964/1965 and 1971/1972 along with 1964 through 1972 non-SS Malibu Chevelles and correlate Chevelles with the Fisher Body plate to help prevent fraudulent and misrepresented cars from being resold.

° All detail information on any registered Chevelle/El Camino Super Sport is kept confidential.
° Only owner's name, city/state/zip, partial VIN of car and date submitted will be displayed and no personal information about the owner or vehicle will be revealed unless owner chooses to make the information public.
° Inquiries about any registered vehicle will be emailed to the person making the inquiry and to the listed owner as a 'blind carbon copy'. This ensures a person making any inquiry does not see the registered owner's personal email address but the owner may respond to the inquiry if they wish to do so.

To register your Chevelle/El Camino Super Sport you must provide the following: Your name, address, valid email address, and proof of SS or NON-SS status as provided below.

° For 1964 and 1965 you will be asked to provide the following:
Year, model, clear and readable photo or scan of (1) Fisher Body plate [or complete information in supplied grid], (2) complete VIN, (3) the car itself (prefer 3/4 front view), (4) and if available, build sheet, bill-of-sale, Protect-O-Plate (1965), etc. Since 1964 and 1965 Malibu Super Sport Chevelles  can be identified by the VIN, other documentation proof is not required. However, the registration must still be supported by a body plate for reference.

°  For 1971 and 1972 you will be asked provide the following:
Year, model, clear and readable photo or scan of (1) Fisher Body plate [or complete information in supplied grid], (2) complete VIN, (3) the car itself (prefer 3/4 front view), (4) positive proof of it being an SS-optioned Chevelle such as buildsheet, bill-of-sale, etc. The VIN on the car must match some other form of proof.

Please note the additional documentation required for 1971 and 1972 models is required since the VIN does not indicate a Super Sport optioned Chevelle/El Camino. Additionally 1964 through 1972 non-Malibu and non-SS optioned cars are welcomed to register. True, NON-SS Chevelle/El Camino cars will be duly noted on that particular year's listings.
