The LS6 has smaller combustion chambers than the LS1 and compression ratio is increased from 10.1:1 to 10.5:1. The LS6 camshaft increased the lift from the LS1's 12.7 to 13.3 mm.
The Z06's LS6 has a horsepower rating of 385 @ 5,600 RPM and torque of 385 @ 4,800 RPM with a redline of 6,500 RPM and increased compression ratio of 10.5:1. The LS6 can also be identified by its red covers.
