Starter nose for a 153-tooth flywheel/flexplate. The longer knurled shank bolt is used in the hole closest to the engine block and is 3/8”-16 thread and 4 5/8” in length. The shorter bolt is the same 3/8”-16 thread but 1 7/8” in length and uses the hole to the outside of the engine block.

Starter nose for a 168-tooth flywheel/flexplate. Both of the knurled shank bolts are 3/8”-16 thread and 4 5/8” in length. Also shown here is a sample shim that may be necessary to give the proper clearance between the flywheel/flexplate and the pinion gear in the starter.
