Chevrolet Division Assembly Plants 1964* - 1972
Listed models built at the various plants were not necessarily built in all years from 1964-1972. Flint, Michigan for example only built Chevelles in 1966 & 1970 and only 1970 for the El Caminos. Naturally production of many models continued after 1972 at various plants but they are not listed here. Some 1964 and 1965 Chevelle bodies were built at the Euclid, OH. plant (such as El Caminos, 300 series 2-door station wagons, and even convertibles) and shipped to various final assembly plants.

(1) The Fisher Body plant in Euclid, OH. built various body styles from the firewall back and then shipped those bodies to their final assembly plant for the chassis and front sheet metal. For Chevelles in 1964 and 1965, the Euclid plant supplied the 300 2-door station wagon bodies, come sedan pickup bodies and some convertible bodies to various final assembly plants that were not tooled to build those particular body styles.
