I'm the original owner of this LS6 Chevelle. I have all the original documentation for the car. the original build sheet, owners Protect-O-Plate in my name and the original window sticker that came with the car. The MSRP was $4771.05. I was 22 years old when I ordered this LS6 in October, 1969 from the Shoemaker-White Chevy dealership in Webster, New York and didn't take delivery until the 2nd week of January, 1970 because of the factory release date on the LS6 motors.

I went to 4 different dealerships and they told me there was no such motor being put into production and that I was crazy. Shoemaker-White checked for me and said it was available so they ordered it.

I raced it in B/STOCK until 1975 and then parked it inside my garage. I still have some of the old time slips from Peterson Memorial Dragway in Altoona, Pennsylvania dated August, 1970. With a little work and my 7" M/T wrinkle walls, the best ET was 12.63 at 115.60 MPH.

When I stopped racing it in 1975 and put the car away it only had 17,368 miles on it.  hen around 1995 Reggie Jackson heard I had it and tried to buy it from me (I said not for sale). That's when I decided to put it back to its original condition because it was still in race form. I did a full body-off restoration on it and completed it in 1999. I did the complete restoration myself with help from my wife and son. It is an all numbers matching car and now has 19,600 miles on it. We drive it to shows and have won BEST CAR OF SHOW most of the time and BEST MUSCLE CAR OF SHOW. It always gets a lot of attention. I do have a lot of stories about the car when I raced it and drove it on the street. I hope to get it in a magazine someday.
