* One reader reports a JR coded L74 block cast May 1, 1964 and assembly date of 0513 from Flint. When the car was sold isn't known but 'availability' dates are always open to some leeway.
** This combination was supposedly built for the 1964 Chevelle but Chevrolet's Accumulative Production Report does not list the RPO as being sold in a Chevelle. It is possible there might have been a few built but not reported.
*** It should be noted that no K66 transistorized ignition options are reported as being sold in the Chevelle lineup by Chevrolet. See 1964 Chevelle RPO Production Numbers.
There is no breakdown of engine type or size by specific series/model.
Canadian Chevelles are not broken down by specific engine size, only
engine type.
A total of 13,361 6-cyl engines and a total of 5,524
8-cyl engines were installed Canadian Chevelles but there is no breakdown
of body style.
