1970 El Camino RPO Production Numbers/MSRP
Caveat: Option quantities/prices vary from resource to resource. These quantities (and prices in most cases) were taken from year-specific 'Accumulative Production/Final Model Year Reports' from Chevrolet and 'Options And Accessories When Installed By Chevrolet' price sheets (April 1, 1970) and do not normally include quantities/prices from GM of Canada unless otherwise noted.
Options, Quantity and Cost
It is important to note the items listed and the quantity represent the item individually when ordered as an option and not when they may have come as standard equipment or in a convenience or appearance group on certain models. All costs listed are 1969/70 dollars. Also note some options were priced differently dependent on other options ordered, model the option was ordered on, and depending on what GM literature you're reading.
Quantity numbers may or may not be correct but are the best available figures. Be sure to read the notations below the list for anomalies.

Note neither the L34 396/402 350hp engine nor the LS5 454-360hp engine is shown. The L34 engine was the base engine with the Z25 option and was not available separately as an option so the number for the L34 engine would be the same as the Z25 option. The LS5 engine was the base engine for the Z15 option. The LS6 engine was optional when ordering the Z15 option. The number of LS5 engines can be calculated by subtracting the number of LS6 engines (4,475) from the number of Z15 options (8,773), or 4,298.
