This Chevelle website is not designed to help you locate a car you owned 20-30 years ago. To my knowledge there is no known database of a car's VIN and its past/current owner. Such a public database would be a gross invasion of privacy. Law enforcement agencies can run a VIN in most cases to find the current owner but can only do so legally as part of any police action such as a suspected stolen car or one that has been in an accident to verify the owner. They CANNOT, legally, do a VIN search for personal reasons such as a favor to a friend.

 

Data presented here has been gathered from various websites, knowledgeable car owners, my personal observances of over 25 years, and GM's "Information Kits." I have found several differences on numerous websites, particularly in sales quantity and pricing such as MSRP. I have used (what I consider) the more reputable sources such as car invoices, window stickers, and Chevelle owners for the most accurate information available. Hopefully you will find the layout and how the data are presented acceptable. This site currently has almost 800 pages of data.
