These three sequential sequence number build sheets were found in one Chevelle - and none of them for the owner's Chevelle.
SP3 Special Paint wasn't limited to high-dollar SS optioned Chevelles;
even a base V8 307 Chevelle could be ordered with special paint.
If one collects long enough, they run into all kinds of odd things
with build sheets.
Another Special Paint car, this one an L48 Malibu sport coupe.
Fairly nicely optioned with windshield washer monitor, remote
mirror, L48, 4-speed, rally wheels, F70 tires, and lighting group. One thing that is odd is a
note with the special paint Fleet & Special Order (F&SO) is the
notation to delete the stripes. What stripes? No RPO D88 Hood & Deck
Stripe option is shown, special paint (ZP3) doesn't include any
stripes and RPO D88, by itself, does not need an F&SO order to get
them. So...delete what stripes?
