Spade Fuses
Many aftermarket wiring companies offer wiring kits with spade fuses in the fuse block. Prior to 1981 most North American-built vehicle electrical systems protected by glass fuses. These are known as "SFE" fuses designed by the Society of Fuse Engineers. As with glass fuses, the spade fuses come in a variety of current amp ratings and quick blow & slo-blow types. Unless you are doing a concours restoration you might want to look into wiring kits from suppliers like American Wire or Painless that offer a wider range of accessory attachments.
Spade fuses are amp-rated by their plastic cover color and come in a variety of sizes.
