Keeping any accessory *hot* after ignition is off
Many modern cars have a feature that leaves certain accessories on after the vehicle has been shut off.For example, your radio will stay on until you open a door; your headlamps may remain onfor a certain length of time after you exit and lock your vehicle.
A simple project involving two, standard 5-pin Bosch-type relays that allows you to keep the radio (or any other accessory) on after you turn off the ignition until you open the doors.
The relay on the left actually latches the accessory lead on, after the ignition is turned off, until the negative door trigger breaks the ground to the relay through the relay on the right. Originally drawn to keep your radio on via the Accessory Hot Wire, it should work just as well for things like power windows or power seats.
