1965 Corvette Body Number Plate

From 1964 through 1967 Chevrolet outsourced building bodies to A.O. Smith. In 1964 this outsourcing began sometime after VIN sequence #109314 in 1964. Those outsourced to A.O. Smith included an "A - " on the trim tag preceding the body number; those built at the St. Louis plant have the letter "S" preceding the body number on the trim tag.
