Impala SS Registry - 1965

The VIN of a 1965 Impala SS is different than others. The second and third digits should be "65" or "66" where "65" is for a 6-cylinder Impala SS and "66" is a V8 Impala SS.

Like the 1962 through 1964 model years codes for the Impala SS were unique to the SS. Like 1964 both the convertible and sport coupe used the same bucket seat code.
