Why mess with a good thing? Apparently GM's engineers and marketing staff were thinking that with the 1960 Corvette model year as very few changes were made. Aluminum cylinder heads were proposed for the 275-hp (CY) and 325-hp (CZ) fuel injection engines but were relegated to the back burner as production quality was not up to standards. It is purported that at least one 1960 Corvette was factory delivered with aluminum cylinder heads but has not been confirmed. The 1960 Corvette would be the last year for the grille teeth.

When no radio was ordered, the hole was covered with a radio hole cover.

Aluminum radiators were introduced for the 270-hp and 290-hp engines. The fuel injected engines now required a manual transmission.

A 283-cid, 230-hp engine, manual 3-speed transmission, vinyl interior trim, and a soft top were included in the base price of $3,872.00.

Like the 1959 model year, the Flint engine plant stamped the assembly date of the engine as month/day instead of the model year. Engines built September through December of 1959 have a 4-digit date while those built January through June/July have a 3-digit date.
