The 1964 Corvette Stingray coupe lost the 1963 iconic split rear window as well as the faux trim panels on the hood. The indentations on the hood are barren which makes the 1964 hood unique to this year. The driver side rear pillar vent in the coupe is now functional and uses a new three-speed fan to pull in fresh air for better ventilation in the coupe.
The fuel filler neck cover/deck emblem was redesigned to include concentric circles around its crossed-flags insignia. The original color-keyed steering wheel rim was replaced by a wheel molded in simulated walnut and all inside door release knobs were chromed. The 1963's ribbed rocker panel trim was replaced with black dividers that ran the length of the trim panel.

A radio was optional. When no radio was ordered the panel was left blank.
A manual 3-speed transmission was the base transmission. Given that
19,034 buyers opted for the 4-speed manual and 2,480 opted for the 2-speed
Powerglide automatic, only 715 Corvettes left with the base 3-speed
transmission.
The 1964 and later Muncie M-series (right photo) 4-speed incorporated
a thicker shifter handle and reverse lockout lever plus a chrome gear
shift ball compared to the 1963 and earlier Borg Warner (on the left)
4-speed with thinner shifter handle and black gear shift ball. The surround
of the shift pattern and forward area of the console was now a soft
black.
