The following is compiled for historical purposes only. Anyone with a documented SS 396 Chevelle/Camaro/Nova is encouraged to submit the data requested on the contact form.

Photos are limited to 5MB each via the form.

No owner's name, address, or email account will be published. All personal data of this type will be kept in a database. Anyone requesting such data will have their request forwarded to the current owner on file. If they wish to respond, it will be up to the owner. I will only pass along the request. When submitting photos or scans of your build sheet, trim tag, warranty card (Protect-O-Plate) for your SS 396 please be sure the documentation is readable so it can be verified. Photos of your car should be in 3/4 front view and free from obstructions like bicycles, telephone poles, etc.; something similar to the photo on the home page.

Indicate in the Comments box if you wish a link to a page with your car's photo. If you do be sure to send a nice 3/4 front image with as little clutter as possible to best show of your car!  Any/all photos and/or data submitted may be used by the Mac's Registries family of websites for display, decoding, or basis for reference materials.

If you are registering from a country outside the United States (or its listed territories) or Canada, simply leave the State at the default Atlanta and include your country and, in necessary, any other pertinent mailing information, in the Comments section.

The Body Date consists of a 1- or 2-digit number and a letter depending on the year.

The Paint Codes will be two letters, a letter and a number, a pair of 2-digit numbers, or a 2-digit number and a letter depending on the year.

The interior trim code will follow the TR on the number plate.

The Fisher Body Unit Number is the 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-digit number AFTER the plant designation. It is NOT the year/style number.

If you still cannot figure out what information goes in the "Trim Tag Date," "Body Number," "Trim Number," or "Paint Code" then send along a photo of the trim tag and I'll get the information.

Note: The letter "L" on a 1969 or 1970 Kansas City trim tag is NOT verification of either SS option. The same to the letters "B" and/or "D" on 1970 Baltimore trim tags. Further documentation MUST be supplied.

I've experienced the same issue with some other email address as well from MACS and PCs, not getting the registration form. If you received your confirmation email but do not hear back from me within a couple of days of registration, please forward your copy of the confirmation and attach any photos to the forwarded email and email them to me at
