A total of 58,808 6-cyl engine models were built.
A total of 162,098 8-cyl engine models were built.

According to accepted production numbers, the engine sizes break down as follows and note all 220,906 Camaro engines are accounted for in this total but leaves questions as to the 283 (for export) and 302 (for Z28) engines.

230-1 cid L6 - 20,643 (base L6)

327-2 cid V8 - 102,400 (base V8)
327-4 cid V8 - 25,287 (RPO L30)
350-4 cid V8 - 29,270 (RPO L48)

283-2 cid V8 - 183 for export *
302-4 cid V8 - 602 (used with ROP Z28) but there is no mention in the listed engines **

* Tonawanda engine plant records indicate that 72 MD engines and 121 MJ engines were assembled and shipped. The Camaros in which these engines were installed were shipped to Bloomfield, Michigan and disassembled for export. The cars were reassembled at their final destination.

** The total number of V8 engines in the first matrix adds up to the total of V8 Camaros reported (domestic, export, & Canada) 162,098 but does not list the 785 283 & 302 engines known to be built.
