1964 Malibu SS
The Malibu SS has bright moldings running from the top side of the front fender to the rear quarter panels.
A CHEVELLE nameplate adorned the front fenders and a Malibu
SS nameplate identified the car on the rear quarter panels.
An “SS” emblem was affixed to the rear cove above
the center trim on the passenger side.
The particular engine size was noted on three of the four possibilities by an emblem on the front fenders. No emblem indicated the base 6-cylinder 194 cid engine.
The optional 6-cylinder 230 cid engine has a rectangular badge with
the engine size and red/white checker design.
The two 238 cid V8 engines are identified by the small "V" badging
on the front fender. The same badge was used for both 238 cid
engine.
All optional 327 cid engines are identified by a "crossed flags"
badge added to the "V" of the 283 cid engines.
