The SS 396 as a separate series was dropped in favor of RPO Z25, SS 396 Equipment Option. For the purpose of this program, it will still be referred to as an "SS 396." For the first, and only year, the SS 396 could be ordered with the 300 Deluxe coupe and 300 Deluxe sport coupe as well as the Malibu sport coupe, convertible, and sedan pickup.
