Base Sport Coupe (1YY07)

Competition Sport Special Edition (1YY07)

Includes a 430 Horsepower, LS3 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, stereo CD with XM radio and an auxiliary MP3 jack, OnStar, leather seats, power driver seat, active handling, traction control, dual-zone A/C, keyless access/start, fog lamps, tilt steering, cruise control, frontal air bags, body-color removable roof panels, a power hatch release with power pull down, and tire pressure monitor.

The Competition Sport Special Edition had gray stripes, wheels and headlamps, ebony interior with titanium stitching, racing pedals, a special engine cover, and other specifics. Racing numbers, uninstalled, were based on the VIN sequence. Coupes included the Z51 Performance Package, the ZPP exhaust package, the differential cooler and the heads-up display. Coupes came with either a white or black exterior.


GT1 Championship Edition Coupe (1YY07)

Included a 430 Horsepower, LS3 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, stereo CD with XM radio and an auxiliary MP3 jack, OnStar, leather seats, power driver seat, active handling, traction control, dual-zone A/C, keyless access/start, fog lamps, tilt steering, cruise control, frontal air bags, body-color removable roof panels, a power hatch release with power pull down, and tire pressure monitor.

The GT1 Championship Edition Corvette was offered to honor the C6R racer. Exteriors were yellow or black to match the C6R’s 2009 livery. Unique ebony-wrapped interiors had yellow stitching with GT1 and “Jake” logos. A total of 53 GT1 Championship Edition Corvette coupes were sold in 2009.


Base Convertible (1YY67)

Includes a 430 Horsepower, LS3 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, stereo CD with XM radio and an auxiliary MP3 jack, OnStar, leather seats, power driver seat, active handling, traction control, dual-zone A/C, keyless access/start, fog lamps, tilt steering, cruise control, power trunk release, side airbags, sport seats, power passenger seat, cargo net, a manual soft top, and tire pressure monitor. Customers could slip into a Corvette convertible for a lower MSRP with the 1LT-equipped model.

ZR1 Corvette (1YY87)

Includes a 638 Horsepower, LS9 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, stereo CD with XM radio and an auxiliary MP3 jack, OnStar, leather seats, power driver seat, active handling, traction control, dual-zone A/C, keyless access/start, fog lamps, tilt steering, cruise control, frontal air bags, power hatch release and power pull down, tire pressure monitor and magnetic ride control.

The ZR1’s LS9 engine had the same 376 cubic-inch (6.2L) displacement as Corvette’s base LS3 engine, but the LS9 was a new design with a 10.5-quart dry sump oil lubrication system. A positive-displacement, roots-type supercharger with a four lobe rotor design provided boost. The compression ratio was 9.1:1. ZR1’s utilized a twin-disc clutch for increased clamping power. A stronger six-speed manual transmission was included. An automatic transmission option was not made available.

ZR1’s chassis with aluminum frame was developed from the Z06, though the ZR1 had Selective Magnetic Ride Control which had been specifically tuned for this application. ZR1 came equipped with a raised hood made from carbon fiber that featured a clear, polycarbonate window to show the intercooler. The carbon fiber hood was body color with carbon-fiber weave evident on its underside. Front fenders were painted carbon fiber with unique side ports. Other carbon-fiber parts, including the fixed roof panel, the roof bow, front fascia splitter and rocker moldings were unpainted carbon fiber with a protective clear coating.

The ZR1 came equipped with Brembo brakes. Rotors were vented and drilled carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon carbide. The front rotors were 15.5 inches in diameter, the rear were 15 inches. Front calipers were six-piston, rear calipers were four-piston. ZR1’s came equipped standard with Michelin Pilot 2 tire package. The front tires were a P285/30ZR19 while the rear tires were a P335/25ZR20.
