	1968 Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac Substitute Interiors
	Only black interiors were affected by the supplier's labor dispute from approximately late March to at late as early July, depending on the final assembly plant. To date only the Baltimore, Fremont, and Kansas City assembly plants were using these substitute interiors. Atlanta and Framingham have not turned up any substitute interior codes; possibly any orders that would have gone to Atlanta and/or Framingham that called for a black interior would have been rerouted to the Baltimore or Kansas City assembly plant.

Aftermarket bucket seat trim kits often include a bright trim piece for the seat cushion side. These are NOT correct for Chevelles. Buicks, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac bucket seats got them but Chevelles did not.

VIN search disclaimer This Chevelle website is not designed to help you locate a car you owned 20-30 years ago. To my knowledge there is no known database of a car's VIN and its past/current owner. Such a public database would be a gross invasion of privacy. Law enforment agencies can run a VIN in most cases to find the current owner but can only do so legally as part of any police action such as a suspected stolen car or one that has been in an accident to verify the owner.
