This box contains regular production options ordered with the particular car. Some items, such a B22 DR EMBLEM SS, F41 SPC PERF SUSP, G94 331 RATIO AXLE , L34 V8 CI 4 B engine, etc. were not an option as such that a buyer would check but may be part of the Z25 and/or Z15 option package. Note that all Z25-optioned Malibu sport coupes will have this particular Regular Production Option (RPO) B22 listed on the build sheet but Z15-optioned Malibu sport coupes do not have this listed. This is believed to be the major reason that many Z15-optioned Malibu sport coupes came with a MALIBU door emblem rather than the SS emblem. Aside from this emblem, the door panels are the same for all Malibu sport coupes and if the interior shop did not see B22 on their copy of the build sheet it was assumed to be a typical Malibu. Due to the vent wing handle placement on El Caminos, they did not get the Malibu or SS396 emblem.
There are 5 columns that data are listed in. Options are listed in order by RPO code (with noted exceptions below). Each column has a maximum number of options that can be listed for that column before the next column is started. For a complete listing of all RPO codes, see this page.
I want to emphasize, again, each plant sometimes worded options a little differently and some plants included data that other plants did not. When reading these codes remember these are the way Atlanta coded the items and may (and in some cases WILL) be worded differently at other plants. Also pay particular attention to the spelling and spacing of each RPO description. Also pay attention to the addition (or exclusion) of certain characters such as the asterisk (*), equal sign (=), etc.
Baltimore Chevelles may have had sold options that were available but not listed here. They are not listed because I do not have build sheets showing that option and have no insight to the exact wording.

ADDITIONAL NOTES/OBSERVATIONS:
* Kansas City is the only plant to list Z25 SS 396 PKG along with =ZL3
SS 396 CONV
* The notation XXX CUSTOMER ORDER indicates the car was specifically ordered by an individual and not for dealer stock. Customer-ordered cars generally got priority when it came to scheduling. It should be noted that not all L34/L78/LS6/LS6 Chevelles were customer ordered, they could just as easily been for dealer stock and not all customer ordered cars would have this notation as indicated by the F&SO special paint car below.
This is a good example of a Chevelle ordered under the Fleet & Special
Order (often mistaken called COPO) process due to the special paint
requested. FS&O (Fleet & Special Order) number and notation
for D88 stripe color.
