Of the 124,901 1970 Camaros built 112,323 were equipped with a V8 engine and 12,578 with the L6 engine.
The 307cid V8 lead the V8 engine sales with 56,315 units followed by the 350cid engine at 56,544 units and only 2,464 were optioned with the 402cid engine.
RPO Z28 Special Engine
Surprisingly 14,871 left the factories with the standard manual 3-speed transmission, 18,678 were optioned with a manual 4-speed transmission, 19,520 were sold with the 2-speed Powerglide, 2,944 with the TH400 3-speed automatic and 68,888 with the TH350 3-speed automatic.
There is no known breakdown of how many of any engine came with any transmission.
