Navigating the Chapters
Each chapter's 'home landing' page will have an outline of that chapter's contents. Where there is more than one page in a chapter, you will find a 'Previous Page' and 'Next Page' link the bottom. Naturally the first page of a chapter will only have a 'Next Page' link and the last page in a chapter will only have a 'Previous Page' link.
The 1970 model year Chevelle is the pinnacle of horsepower offered in any Chevelle and the LS6-optioned 1970 is, arguably, the most sought after engine option. For 1970, the 400 cubic inch engine ban in GM's A-body cars was lifted and the horsepower wars was on. Chevrolet has the highest horsepower rated engine in its A-body Chevelle line with an advertised 450 horsepower and 500 ft-lbs of asphalt-twisting torque.
Long time Chevelle enthusiast and website builder Dale McIntosh teamed up with Chevelle restoration pro Rick Nelson to collaborate on this guide to properly restore your Chevelle while focusing on the 1970 through 1972 model years. Except for the specifics of those three years, Rick's expertise and advise will work for any year you may be attempting to reconstruct.

A special thank you to Jamie Cooper. Jamie had his first experience in a body shop in 1988 as a freshman in high school. Gary Goss, owner of Goss Automotive and a member of a United Methodist Church where Jamie's father was a pastor, hired Jamie to keep the shop clean and lend a hand where needed. A year later, Jamie purchased his first car, and with the help and supervision of Gary and fellow-employee Barry Smith, the learning of the trade began. After high school, Jamie attended Vale Technical Institution, graduating fist in his class and receiving the director's award for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher. After working in three different body shops for the next 20 years, his dream of being a shop owner came true in 2014, when he and his partner Joe Griffith opened Super Car Restoration in Clymer, PA.

after each major subject at the bottom of the screen will be a
"Previous Page | Next Page" image. This will allow you to navigate
through each chapter. When the last page for a given
chapter is arrived at, the "Previous Page } Next Page" will
return you to the first page of the chapter.
