The 350cid, 240hp engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, removable body-color roof panel (coupe) or soft top (convertible), and cloth seats were included in the base price.

RPO Z01 included two-tone exterior of white with a black roof, white leather seats and steering wheel, special inside and outside accents, an anniversary plate mounted on the console, special emblems and other features.

RPO Z51 included Heavy Duty steering and suspension upgrades for improved handling, newly styled 17 x 9.5-inch wheels with twelve cooling slots, P275 / 40ZR17 tires, higher spring rates and finned power steering cooler as before, but in 1988 it also received larger front brake rotors and calipers.
