The 350cid, 300hp engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, removable body-color roof panel (coupe) or soft top (convertible), Delco stereo system with cassette, and leather seats were included in the base price.
The Preferred Equipment Group One included electronic air conditioning control, Delco-Bose stereo system with cassette, and power drivers seat at an additional $1,333.00 cost.
RPO Z07 included RPO FX3, heavy duty suspension and brakes. Available with automatic or manual transmission.
RPO Z4Z Indy Pace Car Replica was painted in Dark Purple Metallic and White with special Indy 500 graphics. Eighty-seven were used at the Indy 500 festival. All 527 were identically equipped with special purple/white paint, Indy decal package, Indy emblems, LT1 engine, automatic 4-speed transmission, performance ratio axle (3.07:1), 9.5" front and rear Argent ZR-1 wheels, P275/40ZR17 tires, black interior, black leather sport seats with purple insert and Indy logo embroidered on the headrests, electronic air condition control, Delco-Bose music system with AM/FM stereo radio, cassette and CD player, and power driver & passenger seats. A bit of controversy is in the early pre-race publicity photos a thin white pinstripe is shown above and below the red nose/front fender stripe. This was eliminated before the race is was not offered by GM.
RPO ZR1 included the following items: Unique body work (doors, rear quarters, rockers, rear facia, and rear upper panel) to accept Goodyear Z-rated P315/35RZ17 tires on 11-inch wide rear wheels. RPOs AG1, AG2, AQ9, C68, FX3, LT5 (32-valve engine exclusive to the ZR1), UF1, UJ6 and a specially laminated 'solar' windshield were included. Available with coupe only.
