RPO Z51 was refined to include structural enhancements for the convertible and a finned power steering fluid container.
RPO Z52 combined elements of RPO Z51 with softer suspension of base models and included the radiator boost fan, Delco-Bilstein shocks, engine oil cooler, heavy-duty radiator, 16x9.5-inch wheels, faster 13:1 steering ratio, larger front stabilizer bar, and the convertible-inspired structural improvements. RPO Z52 could be ordered with both the coupe and convertible and automatic or manual transmission.
The overdrive-engage light was moved from the center dash area (1984-1986) to within the 1987 tachometer display.
Wheel center sections were painted argent gray where 1986 wheels
were not.
