Caveats:
(1) The total production according to the reported last VIN of each
assembly plant totals 403,843 leaving 120 units built in the U.S. unaccounted
for in the above figures. In 1966 the same type of discrepancy exists
between published last known VIN per plant and total production, and
I suspect the same might apply to 1967 as well even though I do not
have any 1967 examples to prove it. There are examples of higher VIN
sequences for several plants in given months than reported for those
months so it's not out the realm of probability.
(2) Canadian production figure for 1967 is reported at 19,245 units
but the specific series/model are not included in the series/model figures
for 1967. However, according to GM of Canada documentation provided
to owners by GM of Canada there were:
554 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13667.
867 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13817.
5,803 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13617.
(3) The highest VIN sequence reported so far for Oshawa is 111318.
(4) The term 'Produced for Sale in Canada' does not infer the unit was
assembled in Canada.
(5) n/a indicates the series/model was not available with that engine
type.

* Although there were Chevelles with body dates in August 1966, August
and September totals are listed in September only. For those of you
who enjoy numbers, the table at the bottom of the page
expands on the table above to break down the number of Chevelles assembled
at each plant each month and on average the number assembled per day
and per hour of each day.
Caveats and Disclaimers:
The numbers shown are reported last VINs from each plant per month. The numbers above those in red are instances of matching VIN and Fisher Body plates to show VINs/body dates outside the published numbers. An example is the Atlanta 09E body date with VIN sequence of 110819 that falls after the last reported VIN sequence for September of 109860.
If you have trim tags/VINs plates with dates and sequence numbers that don't fall into the range of those shown below, please email me the trim tag and sequence number and I'll add the oddity.
(2) Chevrolet's published figure for the 1967 model year are 403,963 units. Subtracting the total of last reported VINs of each plant (403,843) from the published figure would leave 120 unaccounted for.
Production Numbers per month/per day/per hour
Just some numbers for fun, these are NOT ACTUAL production figures.
What is depicted are general averages with the following assumptions
in place:
* Last reported VINs for each month by GM are accurate
* A five (5) day work schedule (except weekday holidays)
* A sixteen (16) hour work day in two shifts
Remember, these are only AVERAGES assuming a 16-hour workday 5-days a week, no down time and no model changeover time. These figures are not to be interpreted as actual production numbers. The Framingham and Fremont assembly plants also assembled other GM models on the same line accounting for their relatively low Chevelle production.
