Transmissions - 1964

As you can see in the matrices below, several versions of the 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and several versions of the manual 3-speed and manual 3-speed with overdrive transmissions were used based on the particular engine and its horsepower rating. The matrix represents the gear ratio multiplication factor based on the gear set in the transmission and the rear end axle ratio. The manual 4-speed transmission was a wide ratio aluminum Muncie M20.
